For Von Dotta mistakes are not enough to back down from achieving your goals, sometimes a second chance is in the cards. A native of Harlem, New York, Vaughan Thorpe had a taste of real-life at a young age when his brother got a lengthy sentence, and he himself ending up behind bars. Whilst being in jail, Von Dotta got his second chance, a chance to be a force of change and inspiration for young black Americans. Given advice by his probation officer, Vaughan went on to make a documentary about gun violence which went on to gain publicity on fox news kick-started his film-making career. As stated by Vondotta, “There is no limit to creativity“. Asides from filmmaking, Thorpe is a rapper, an actor, and a director. Citing his brother as an inspiration, he would rap to the songs his brother made and send them to him to listen to. He later interned at Purfek Storm Records in order to learn more about music and showbiz.

Von Dotta: I am a simple person man. Just a young fly dude with a couple of thoughts in his head, and bringing them to reality. There is a lot to me, but I would say
